I LOVED the babysitters club. I had all of them, even the little sisters and super specials. I am going to purchase this for myself and my 12 year old daughter.

The issue I remember best is where the diabetic girl (Claudia I think) goes into shock because she didn't want to be diabetic anymore and stopped taking her medication. I was sickly as a child (still am) I could totally identify.

HA HA! It was Stacey. Claudia had the extreme learning disorder. (I swear, there was something depressing with all of them!)

That stuff with Stacey was relatable, I agree. And the way her parents wanted her to be healthy, too, to the point of being in complete denial that her condition had no cure.

That's good that you had those books to relate to. :-) Sorry you were sickly.

I was always able to relate to Mary Anne, the sensitive one who cried at Hallmark commercials.

Great review! This sounds like something I need to pick up for my middle school daughter. I'll have to read it myself, of course.

I remember her being embarassed by Mimi's accent, specifically she said eye-ron for Iron. Which I say, eye-ron. So I guess it's also a NY accent lol

Your review was really great. I love books for this age group because I have a young child. I also remember being a adolescent and the struggles involved. Thank you for sparking my interest in this novel.
