Thoughtful review but I would love the author to change the cover page.

Ficlet is a good new word to learn. The book seems absolutely beyond my past reading experience. It would be exciting to check it out. I'll hunt for an online sample.

Thanks for the comprehensive review! Crystal!

Hey Miriam, thanks for stopping by! It was also a little abstract from me, TBH. I'm crossing my fingers here too; I hope you win it again!!

Intrigued at the chapter you mentioned "Advocacy or Superiority" and also at the good command of language by the author. Both these aspects seem interesting enough for me to sample the book. Thanks for this detailed review!

It's an interesting concept.
I totally agree! I would be more inclined to read this collection if it were a collaborated book with a few more contributors writing on the same theme(s).

It is a good idea, since there would be a larger diversity of issues explored. Thanks for stopping by!

Hmm, sounds a bit too artistic for me. I love the term ’ficlet’, so much nicer than ’drabble’ which is the one I’ve heard of. Great review!

I know, right? "Ficlet" seemed like the right choice, instead of "drabble". Thanks for stopping by!

I like the sound of the ficlets' themes and the Latin quotes. However, this sounds somewhat more suited to blog posts than to a book.
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

Oh, you're absolutely right! If I did not remember wrongly, the author posted these on his blog, before compiling them into a book. Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment!

This book sounds quite fascinating, especially the idea of different ficlets, but the repetitive-ness of it puts me off just a bit. I may pick it up, however, if I want to try something new since philosophical books aren't really ones I've exposed myself to. Either way, thank you for the wonderful review!
