I love poetry and with how you have reviewed the book, I will surely read it. And I know I would love it just as you did. Because it is mostly about "love and relationships".

I haven't read this book but after reading your review I am so compelled to do so. I, too, am a fan of poetry and the amazing way you can express yourself through it, it is a way to open up without being fully exposed in a sorts. Being as you feel so strongly and speak so highly of it, I am sure it is a definite good read. Thank you!

This opening line makes me want to read this book right away because of this review: Good poetry will make you think and challenge your ability to decipher a riddle of words with a compelling point. An Open Wound is that book, it takes you on this journey of metaphors, imagery, and figurative language, with stories about romance, relationships, and self-realization. It's nice to read a review from a person who really appreciates the art form.

Great review. You are a straightforward writer, the way you describe how your emotions came into play throughout the entire read, instead of using a bunch of long adjectives and dancing around the point just to make your review look longer. I can tell that the way you express yourself, that your feelings towards this work are genuine. Keep up the optimism, I never thought that I would find myself saying this, but I very much so enjoyed reading your review. Clap it up fellow book club readers! Bravo.

I like both the title of the book because it intrigues me. I also like the art style used on the book cover. I'm sure I will enjoy the different poems contained in the book.

It's rare to find a poetry book that is well edited, which actually qualifies this book to be on my TBR shelf. Thanks fir the recommendation.

From your review, the idea of finding love seems quite interesting however I'm not a fan of poems as I'm not able to understand the numerous figures of speech being used. Beautiful review.

Oh, I love the idea of this book and how it was described in the review. Poems that tell a story, that is open, emotional, and honest. To learn about his love and heartbreak. Well done on an exceptional well review and to the author for #BOTD!

A poem that centers around finding love, being apart from love, and losing love sounds like a must-read for me. I enjoyed reading this special review.
