I like the fact that the book contains well developed characters, not to mention that it can be read as a standalone. Nice review!

Thanks for the detailed review. I just joined the OnlineBookClub. I hope to encounter more books in this specific genre and others as well. I like how your review gives me quite a clear picture of this book and story. It reminds me of The Book Thief which is one of my favourite books although I am selective of the type of war genre books I read. Will give it a try.

This really does sound interesting. A book about historical fiction is very insightful to read, with all the details et al.. Would definitely be checking it out!...
