An Amazing suspense-filled story, kept me glued to the end. Action and mystery such as missing persons too. I actually enjoy this book. Great review on this book

I like the use of different characters from different backgrounds especially those who are indigenous. I love the cover art too. Nice book.

I also appreciate the fact that the author introduced some new vocabulary from different languages as I've always been interested in languages so I will gladly learn a couple of new words. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Although I am not so fond of mystery books and stories, there seems to be quite the political intrigue intertwined in "The Warramunga" series that may pique my interest.

I've read the first book and I agree with the reviewer that this book can stand on its own despite it being the 3rd book. And I also agree that it is always action-packed. I can't wait to read this.

I enjoyed 'The Warramunga's War.' I passed on the second book in the trilogy, but thanks to your review, I'll be checking out this one. Kater's writing style is very suspenseful, and I'm glad this book follows suit. Many thanks to the author.

I loved reading your review. I had no idea that the book was part of a trilogy, but I enjoyed reading the sample. I am quite intrigued as to what happened to Johnny Cook and the rescue team sent out to bring him home. It seems Johnny is a solid character who is determined to tough out his period of capture. The plot is steady so far and the characters are introduced with distinctive personalities. Kudos to the author for an interesting book and for making it to today's selection.

Set in 1946 Malaya, the plot of this intriguing historical fiction includes kidnapping, theft, and murder.
The plot was well-written, and the author also intertwined pertinent details from the previous books, The Warramunga's War and The Warramunga's Aftermath of War. Though I usually prefer to read a series in order, this book piqued my interest enough that it's likely I'll go back and read the first two.
I would recommend it to readers who enjoy historical fiction and action adventures.
This book doesn't sound like something I would be interested in. I don't read books out of order if they're in a series, even if they are a standalone. Congrats on BOTD! Maybe I'll come back to it at a later date.

I love the plot and the storyline of this book. The themes are quite fascinating, and I'd love to know if Johnny Cook survived the ordeals that he encountered. Thanks for your honest review.
