Vietnam -- a country so close to where I live in. I appreciate how the book emphasized the war although it was fictional yet it is based on true events. I like the idea.

I have watched movies, read and head stories about Vietnam. The way the review has been written gives me more appetite of wanting to read this book.

There is never a winner in a . The effects are always devestating and the loss of human life is always disturbing and painful. It would be inlighting to see it from the perspective of the author especially a book theme about the Vietnam war. Thanks for an outstanding review. I will definitely be reading this book.

It sounds like a great book. I am a big fan of historical fiction and I really enjoy stories that have realistic characters. It sounds like Deadly Waters does a great job at giving the reader a realistic view of what the aftermath of the Vietnam War was like for soldiers who fought in it. Thank you for your review.

The book is very timely in light of the VA's efforts to improve their services to veterans. They are still denying medical care to naval vets, never mind that they were straifed with agent orange nightly while on mid watch. My husband was asked to PROVE that he had boots on the ground in the Mei Cong delta, where his ship was, and has still not recieved help with his leukemia

Thank you for a lovely review! We cannot comprehend the horrors of war, but authors like this one try to make us understand. I love stories based on true events, especially when they add a hint of humor. I'm putting this book on my Want To Read list.

The fact that this book is based off true events from the Vietnam war and its aftermath makes it all the more sad. A true reminder that there aren't really any winners in a war — for me at least. Thanks for the review!

Humor mixed with the terrors of war is not something you get to read in books every day. It's quite a rare combination, but worth the read. Thanks for the review.

I have several acquaintences who are veterans of the Vietnam War and served in the US Navy.
Some have lung cancer and are drug addicts because of their exposure to Agent Orange as is
discussed in the book review. My heart is moved by them. This book needed to be written
and reviewed.
