The sample pages illustrate a very absorbing read which is something i can really see myself getting invovled in.

Excellent review! I totally agree on the sexual scenes part, though beyond the initial description of their motel encounter, the rest of the book does seem to be alright as far as sexual descriptions go..

That being said though I felt that Coppi gets away with too much in the army. Sure, his skills and abilities allows good things to be said about him and him to become a favourite of the old man, but damn I don't think any officer would take too much of a liking to a guy who's constantly flaunting the rules and challenging him

Well-written review!
Did you find that the writing in the first section seemed disjointed? You also mentioned you liked the character development, but I found it was lacking in the first part. The characters didn't possess much of an inner voice. But I did find the second part really made up for what was lacking in the beginning.

Yes I did find that in Van Fleisher's work. In the end the whole story was greatly merged leading to happy ending climax which I had anticipated. All in all it was a great book.Currently am reading We are Voulhire; The fires of Virko so far so good I think you should check it out.

Thank you for that great review. I have also read “A Police Action” and I really enjoyed the book. I agree that it was a gripping story with the opportunity to learn about the Vietnam war minus the gory details. I too found the characters well-drawn.
