when I first read the title I was like "ancient" then I was like "not for me". Not because it doesn't sound interesting but more because I am not a reader of historical fiction.

I like your review, and based on it I would've picked the book up to peruse. However, I have attempted this book and the second in the series and I just cannot get into them. I found I just couldn't get on with the writing style and that I didn't fall for any of the characters quick enough. After a couple of chapters and a couple of tries I've had to give up. :(
You know you’ve read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend.

This sounds like a well written historical book that goes beyond telling the story of a war. I am reading it right now, and like that it includes so much information about Egypt. The friendship also reminds us that war affects people personally. I really enjoyed your informative review.

I see a very good story-teller in Greg Kater. In The Warramunga's War, he's done thorough research on History that he's able to incorporate well his fictional characters into real events and people. I also like it when he includes the culture of the Aborigines of Australia.

I prefer watching a movie about war than reading it especially when set on the time period mentioned.Good review, but I'll skip this one.

Am not much into war stories, but that part that talks about Egypt and the pyramid is the one that got my attention, and intentions to read the book, I have always wanted to know about the pyramid, I would also want to know if jack and James would succeed in their mission.

"The Warramunga's War by Greg Kater" seems like such an intriguing book to be considered for reading. The twist in the story about spies, romance, the role of women, war and the details about the Egypt pyramid all look too good to pass on. I will definitely give it a try.

Thank you for such a brilliant review and congrats on winning the BOTM award!
