Being a spy in a time of war is a serious national assignment on the shoulders of young Magger Ross.
The author did a great job in her character development. Thanks for this review.

Thank you for sharing your review with us. I like the idea of a female spy perspective, but I’m still not sure if this book will be my cup of tea. I think I will have to read a little more than the sample pages before deciding.

The title is quite intriguing. I also love that the book focuses on something else other than the concentration camps; it is a breath of fresh air. Thank you for your reviewer.

I like that the author avoids getting lost in the events of WWII like many other writers would. She instead utilizes that setting and time period to write a personal story about a female soldier, Margaret, as she navigates the hotbed zone that is the Channel Islands.

This story sounds like an intriguing one. Especially being an historical fiction. I admires the well developed character of the protagonist. Thanks for this review.

Not being a fan of historical fiction or fiction about the world wars, I’m going to pass on reading this story about a female spy having to contend with living under the same roof as the German gestapo during World War II. Telling it from a lady spy’s viewpoint is a slightly more original angle but still the free sample wasn’t enough to draw me in.

I like that the story is well developed and with a lot of action. The fact that it centers on a lone woman spying on the German police, Gestapo, adds a further appeal to the book. Thanks for the nice review.

I feel that this would be an interesting book to read: a new take on the happenings during world war 2. Not the actual war front but the back end of the war.

Historical fiction during the world war II. This book isn't centered around the Jews nor the concentration camps that I had typically read but a lone spy. Definitely would want to read this book from another perspective of a lone spy.

This is an interesting introduction to this historical fiction in the China island setting of the British. However, reading about the world wars isn't my thing; I'll pass on this.

The storyline is quite unique and deals with an interesting subject revolving around World War II. Plus, I believe the story has intrigue and slow-building suspense and that would be a pretty engaging aspect about the book. Thank you for a detailed analysis.

From the review, "the last sholdier" is also filled with suspence. One would want to read through to know who becomes the last sholdier, Maggie the spy or the German.
This is a good historical fiction book to engage my time.
