The plot of the book seems interesting but the author didn't do well with the character development I might pass this. Welldone on a well written review.

It must be super hard to create realistic dialogues. The few times I've tried it it's one of the hardest parts of writing but it brings the whole story to life.

Would even say they could do for several stories, a story of a newspaper between a mother and a daughter, a story of the Vietnam War with a romantic flair. I would like to see how they all go together, even though it doesn't really arouse my interest.
Great review.
There are several subplots which, in this case, is a double-edged sword. The author, and the main character, try to broach a lot of social issues, which is commendable, but it doesn't allow space to explore deeply most of these issues, the mother-daughter relationship, or any other subplot.

This might be one of the best and most well-written reviews of any book that I've seen on OBC. I love that you didn't dumb down your review but choose creative and expressive language, it really makes your writing stand out, and your review both accurate and entertaining. Thank you!

Having a multi-million-dollar newspaper empire but never opening a newspaper, is just like owning a big water factory bit never drinking from it. Sounds ironic.
Great review.

It's ironic and, honestly, plain dumb. One needs to be familiarized with the business and what you are offering to your clients. But Anne is ... peculiar.
