Pity it's a fictional narrative but anything historical should draw some attention to researchers and students writing essays and theses.
I would like to imagine it's not biased towards somebody winning or losing the war in order to keep the reader interested.
And so, on my shelf it will find a place.

I love anything related to Rome, and although I usually do not read war novels, I might give this one a try.

While I don’t usually lean toward historical fiction this book was quite the enthralling read. I took my time reading it on work breaks! The story was overall very engaging and I am intrigued by the author’s writing style. I agree with the first reviewer’s sentiments—there’s nothing at all to truly dislike about this read.

This was an excellent review I was glad to see that they actually researched about the time period where the story took play. I also liked that they put questions in the review to intrigued people into reading it while also not giving any spoilers. Overall, a great review for this novel.

Love stories with a mixture of war can be exciting and at the same time cause anxiety while reading. Nice review.

Today's BOTD is a well-researched historical fiction novel that takes place in Rome from 1943-1944 during WWII. Readers who enjoy war stories with well-developed characters and events are going to love this one! Your review was excellent; I've downloaded my copy! Thank you so much! :-)

I'm impressed that the author can blend real and fictitious events so seamlessly. I also appreciate that there is no guarantee of a happy ending, as is truly the case with war. Nice review.

It is common to associate the Rome with romantic adventures which lead to lively entertainment, but unfortunately there is nothing light and easy in this book. The description provided in review promises a dark story of beautiful city caught in the throes of war and tragedies accompanied it. Both sides of my family lost members in the battles for victory and I prefer to skip the remembrance.

I can imagine how francesca is feeling, being in a situation where she could either save or break the day. I thing she will get her desired result at the end, since she was lucky enough to have both Giorgio and the doctor on her side. The review left alot of suspense, which makes me want to get this book to find out how it all ends.

This sounds like an intense story. I hope Francesca and her brother make it home safely. Because of the war part of this novel I am going to think about this one for awhile!
