I've never read a book about slavery, I guess I am too sensitive sometimes. But I liked your review, maybe I will start by reading this book! Awesome work!

The review is great it shows the full picture of the story, how Annabelle is used as a symbol of consciousness and awakening of the slaves fighting for their freedom

Thanks for telling me enough to get my interest in reading it and not telling too much. I like that you had to check to see if it was fact or fiction.

The black slave girl, by the names of Brown was right to try to escape from her master. That was her effort to try to fight for human rights without thinking about what was going to follow next in terms of punishment and reaction from her master.

Zee, your review is excellent! For a moment I thought I was reading the actual story. From reading your review, I get the confirmation that the author describes the events in an engaging manner and brings representation of that positive ending.
