I like your review. I think your rating and opinion is objective, as it is justified by reasons.

I wish I had grabbed this book! I live on Chesapeake and spend as much time as possible out on it racing classic schooners, Chesapeake 20's, and any other sailboat I can get my hands on. I have a few friends who are building and rehabbing Skipjacks. The funny thing about boats built for the Cheaspeake is that they all have way too much sail area because of how light the winds can be in the summer. It makes for a lot of fun when the breeze comes up and you need to stand out on a trapeze to keep the boat from capsizing!

Great job on your review:-)

To balance not just multiple POVs, but multiple POVs that change with time and age takes true skill, particularly when covering the civil rights era and one's growth into adulthood. I must commend the author for this and you for an excellent review.
