I like that the sentences are simple and neat. Sometimes if the sentences are too complicated, it actually pulls me out from the story. I would somehow prefer there to be more major action scenes though, but I guess that's due to tastes. Either way, I think I'll have to pass by this book since I don't usually read historical fictions.

It's too bad the editing was less than perfect. The book sounds interesting and very intriguing.

when life involves numerous people living on a cruise ship, there always comes an interesting story that follows. I would also love to check this also.

Excellent job on your review! I love how you are giving readers a heads up about possible typos, which can really be a deal breaker. I also like how you balance the negative-and necessary-information with positive feedback, like complimenting the author's characterization, his unique outlooks on historical occurrences, and his clear and concise language. Your summary is a good length and doesn't spoil anything while still mentioning some of the interesting plot points. If I were looking into this book-and were deciding whether or not to read it-based on your review, I would definitely give this book a try!

Gonzo Station by Fernando Ochoa is a #HistoricalFiction that follows the #ComingOfAge and #Adventures of a young marine named Roger Otto. The inclusion of topics about sex, drugs, and racism made this book not suitable for very young readers.

Thanks for the review.

Hmm. It sounds like an interesting plotline, but sea life usually bores me, so I don't think this one is for me. The errors are disappointing. Thank you for your review.

The book sounds interesting but something that I would take a long time to read. I'm a fan of realistic fiction, but I'm a bit sad that there won't be any intense action scenes. Thanks for the great review!

I am a fan of historical fiction and sea stories, this book is a must-read for me. This is a well-written review, it reminded me of the TV series The Last Ship.

It is a historical fiction novel set in the United States Navy. UU. During the Iranian hostage crisis in 1980. He wants to experience the adventure and see the world to have something to write about, as his favorite author. However, the English in this book was not perfect. There were some sentences expressed in a confusing way.

I like how you mentioned that there are many historical references in the book. I love this genre, and have a background in geography, plus I love military action. So....of course I downloaded the book. Thanks for the review!
