What an interesting story. I have recently been researching on ancient African religions and cultures and this book will be definitely be an asset to my research. Thanks for a very compelling review.

I’m not interested in reading about a woman suffering the pain of childbirth, even if it is a “miracle child,” so I’m going to pass on this one.

The review summarizes it quite well, the historical background and the different forms of slavery makes it sound intriguing.

The premise of this book really sounds interesting. I also like the cover page. That it's professionally edited makes it more appealing to read. I'll be checking this one out. Thanks for the succinct review.

I am very intrigued by what the other miracles leading up to the child's birth might be, and the fact that he has such strikingly blue eyes with such a dark skin color fascinates me. Of course, tenant farming/cropsharing is something that Americans overall need to learn a lot more about, especially in viewing it through the lens of it being another form of slavery. I don't run across many historical fiction novels that cover the time in America just before the country just World War I, so that should be interesting as well. Thank you for the helpful review.

Well written! I usually cannot finish up a book if it is slow. I loose interest pretty quickly in such cases. Also, it would have been nice to know what the story builds towards with the progression of the narrative, and if it has a definitive end. That would probably make a difference in my interest in the book.

This is a unique and educating story that took another form to resolve slavery issues. Great review

This looks interesting. I like historical fiction and I can already imagine the difficulty the main characters would have to go through during this time period.

The general plot sounds alluring, even though the punctuation and other errors tend to discourage me, the idea of reading the book is overall intriguing.
Can't wait to give it a try!

I love the flow of the book. It turns out to bring hope for the enslaved and an inspiring piece for a brighter future.

This does sound like an educational story from history. I am not that big on history so unfortunately I don't think this one is for me. Congratulations on BOTD.

I am not big into history, so I will be giving this one a pass. Even though it is based on events close to WWI, I feel that the topics involved can stand out on their own. Freedom from slavery is a topic that is always a shining star. Great review.

Sounds interesting indeed. Love the positive perception on slavery and your thoughts on the character development and the tempo. Would love to give this book a shot.
