Amazing that a novel should boast of having Buddhism and Einstein in it. Then there is all the corruption of Post War China. Thank goodness that WWIII never happened and I hope it never will.

It is great that the book is professionally edited. I do not usually read historical fiction, but I am glad that you liked reading the book overall. Congrats to the author on the 4/4 rating.

I like that there was some historical realism in this novel, and that there are interesting facts. It was also cool to know that there are some nice descriptions of shrines. Great review.

Greg Kater's historical fiction sounds like a must-read book. Filled with suspense, historical details of World War II, cultural elements, espionage, corruption - it seems a thorough and impressive read. Thank you for your excellent review!

I will definitely be getting this one. I really liked the sample and have read samples of the Warramunga trilogy. I think I’ll read those first though and come back to this book. Thanks for the great review. 😊

Thanks for the review. Looks like, this book is a historical fiction that follows Warramunga trilogy. The book needs editing. I think this book is for readers who like historical fictions. Congrats to the author on BOTD!

Wow! This is a well-rounded review. I read the first two parts of the trilogy and I can see that there is a steady improvement in Mr. Kater's work. I was a tiny bit put off by stiff dialogue in the first part of the series and found the Australian leg of that adventure unnecessary, but the second part was a vastly improved instalment. I enjoyed every bit of it and could only criticise the book cover the author had chosen. I am very pleased to see this book's cover page and from your review it is clear that the story is also enjoyable. I wish this author all the best and hope to see more of his writing.
Thanks for the lovely review!
