Thank you for sharing your review with us. I also noticed that it was the third book in a series, but did not feel lost in the story at all. I like that you researched the historical accuracy of the book, you must be a bit of a history buff. This book surrounding politics of medieval times is not really in my wheelhouse though.

Thanks for the review! I like the premise as well as the medieval settings. That you were able to root for the characters is another plus.

I'd like to give this historical novel a try considering the detailed elements of court intrigue and political scheming describing the French, English and Spanish alliances in 13th century. Miranda's secret ancestry makes the book more interesting to read too. Thanks for a wonderful review!

From a historical perspective, I think I might enjoy this one. However, I am a bit suspicious about the whole Mary Magdalene conspiracy theory, and this might put me off a bit. Still, you wrote a great review of this book, and clearly enjoyed it, so I’ll have to think about this one. Thanks.

I love history and medieval history has always fascinated me. If it weren’t for the graphic rape and torture scenes I think I might go for it, but I’m a little hesitant because of those things. Thanks for the great review though!

I will pass on reading this book because it is not something that I would like. I am not a fan of historical fiction. I also dislike reading about religious content or beliefs. I did find the story unique but the religious content, politics, graphic description of rape/torture turn me away from reading this book.

I like the non-stop adventures portrayed in the novel and the historical notes on James 1 of Aragon. I look forward to reading it. Thanks for the review.

A wonderful story from a wonderful mind. Apparently Jesus had a child that wants to stay anonymous...what!? Yes indeed. Short and crisp. Nice review.

Well, this one is definitely not for me as I'm not into historical fiction. However, I like the author's use of historical data to encourage philosophical discussions. The use of antiquated vocabulary must be engaging in the context of medieval times that is explored in the book. Thanks for a precise yet detailed review.

While I'm a bit sensitive to more graphic depictions of subjects like rape and torture, I love historic fiction. I'm also fascinated by the idea that the main character is a descendent of Mary Magdalene and Jesus. I don't have time to read it right now, but I'll put it on my "to read" list. Thank you for the helpful review.

Sounds like an interesting historical fiction story following four friends on the run from the French. The graphics descriptions of rape and torture might be a turn off for me though.

The premise of this book sounds intriguing. But I am not fan of such historical books so will pass it on.
