Wow, lovely review! I love stories about talking inanimate things or animals. I feel for Charlie, who's even accidentally chased away a great prospect. Haven't we all? I'd like to see how he straightens up. Thanks for this raving review.

I love how Charlie is described. As I was reading the review, I also hoped Charlie could find the owners he’s looking for. I was also thinking of a few boys and girls I’d read this book to, I’m pretty sure they’d love it. And the illustrations, those are a very important part of a children’s book. I really enjoy when they are colored correctly, like there’s an art to illustrating these stories and trying to get everything match the text.

Thank you for this review! I really enjoyed it.

While I did enjoy this book, it felt like it was reaching for more. The plot was unique, but I would have liked to have seen more illustrations to aid in telling this story.

I found this book very adventurous. Very good story line. My children enjoyed it dearly. They just couldn't believe a house came alive. 4 stars

Thanks for your wonderful review :) this was definitely a fun one to read. You were spot on about the illustrations; they were delightful. I'm still wondering just how a house can pull on its pants!

Wow..the uniqueness of this story is beautiful. It gives children a new understanding of things around them. For example a house that has feelings tells children to treat all non living things with more care as though they were living.

Looks like a very fun book to me. The concept is really cute where the house gives itself name and is determined to find an owner for itself. Thank you for the lovely review.

Glad that you enjoyed reading the book. I need to read this book. Charlie seems to be a lovely house yet there is no one who's come to buy him. There must an interesting journey ahead as he tries to find a new owner. Thanks for the great review.

:techie-reference: I plan to read this book to my kids, thanks to your review. The feeling I get from your review reminds me of another book I read as a child, The House That Had Enough, although I have forgotten the author. I will have to look that one up again as well! :techie-reference:

This book sounds cute and perfect for little kids. It might also get them to look at older, abandoned houses in a new way; we so often think of them as creepy and sometimes even haunted, and I think this book could put a new innocent twist on this idea. Thank you for your helpful review.

Thank you for sharing your lovely review with us. I agree that the story is told with simple and understandable language, however I found that the grammatical errors hindered my enjoyment of the book somewhat. Other than that it was a sweet children's book with a relatively original idea of the house being alive.

The reviewer is correct when she says that the book is skillfully written. I found a couple of fatist elements, but other than that, it's a good book. Great review!
