“What did you do at school today?” by C.C. Lacavera is an interesting book that looks at parent-child communications from a different perspective. Parents’ lives have become so busy with their careers that the amount of time they spend with their children each day has diminished. Lacavera reviews many opportunities for parents to have fun discussions with their children about what they did in school. Lacavera provides short, open-ended questions that parents can ask their children about classes and school activities. The illustrations are wonderful and add to the story. The author provided great questions for very involved parents and parents that really do not know much about their children’s school days. An excellent book that I hope my children and grandchildren will read.
