This review beautifully captures the essence and value of *What Did You Do at School Today?* by C.C. Lacavera. The author effectively highlights the importance of fostering communication between parents and children, especially in today’s busy world. The introduction sets a thoughtful tone, emphasizing how essential it is to engage with children about their school experiences.
The detailed discussion about the book’s presentation is particularly compelling. The mention of short, open-ended questions showcases how Lacavera encourages meaningful dialogue, making it easier for parents to connect with their children. This feature is crucial for parents who may struggle to initiate conversations about their kids’ daily activities.
Additionally, the exploration of various topics—ranging from cognitive questions to social interactions—provides a well-rounded view of childhood experiences. The enthusiasm for the rhymes and illustrations adds a personal touch, illustrating how these elements enhance engagement and enjoyment.
The review's conclusion effectively summarizes the book’s strengths and enthusiastically recommends it to parents and children alike. The five-star rating is well-deserved based on the thorough analysis provided.
**Feedback:**

It speaks about the importance of communication, creativity and better ways to integrate kids in schools. I find this book to be a helpful tool for parents who want to be closer to their child. The book asks the best questions about their school days, through playful rhymes that help the child review their day and socialise with their parents.
