I just downloaded and read this book. While I agree with your review that it is an amusing story for nearly any age, I disagree about the rhythmic prose. Reminiscent of Dr Suess books this one does rhyme, but does seem forced some of the time.

Silly but amusing! That's just how kids like their stories. A thorough review. Thanks.

Thank you for the in-depth review of The Worst Pet Peeve Ever by Anne Marie Hanlon Cook. It sounds like a delightful book that is meant to be read aloud with its rhythmic prose to children. When I looked at the sample pages of the e-book, the formatting and illustrations were well done and easy to read.

Marisa Rose’s Official Review of The Worst Pet Peeve by Anne Marie Hanson Cook was spot on! Rose deftly explains the plot without giving away too much. She also mentions the author’s rhythmic prose which always works well in children’s books. It keeps the energy going(except for a few awkward spots) by allowing for vocal interpretation while reading the book aloud. I’m pleased Rose mentioned the adorable, childlike illustrations that are similar to stick people but with added finesse. Both the review and the book were enjoyable to read.

The plot of this book sounds unique... I've never heard of a children's book that focuses on pet peeves. I also like the fact that it rhymes... I think that makes it more fun to read. Great job on your review!

Children's stories often get my instant reading attention. Anne Marie Hanlon Cook's book, The Worst Pet Peeve Ever: Beware of What Bugs You, seems interesting. From the review, the story appears laced With humour.
"Sometimes I find myself sitting in one spot for hours, staring at nothing, feeling nothing, and most disturbingly, caring about nothing".

I think that it's a lovely idea to look at what would happen without pets. I like how it looked at what the fleas would do. I can see this appealing to a child's sense of humour. Great review

Sounds like a fun-filled read.. the concept of a "pet peeve" as a pet sounds hilarious and very out-of-the-box. Also I think it will show us how having pets are important( nobody would want a flea outbreak afterall). haha. Can't wait to finish reading this! :)

Sounds like quite a unique concept for a kids book! I like the pun in the concept of a “peeve” for a pet! And hand drawn illustrations always add a quaint touch.

Thanks for the great review! Definitely reading this one today! You made it sound so interesting and funny that I’m dying of curiosity here. I’d really like to see how they react to a flea infestation. Oooh!! This is going to be fun.
