The Magic Faraway Tree

Post by Jason_Marchingo »

So growing up I've read this book about three times.

I think it's a really good story for the younger age group, and although being really thick novels it has easy to read and understand stories.

I was drawn in and still remember my fantasies of going up the tree and living my own little world.

What's your opinion? Did you find this book great, horrible?

Totally totally loved these books (a series of three). I think the Narnia stories attracted me for the same reason - the idea of going through a magic portal into different worlds.

I try to achieve this feeling in my own books. I'm not sure of the anti-spam policies on this site, so I won't mention the titles.

I loved the Faraway Tree series as a child and even did a book report on them in grade 4, I think. One of my classmates asked to borrow the books afterwards so at least one person liked my review and got to enjoy the books too.

You might be able to get them through Amazon or other online bookstores, particularly UK bookstores.
