The cover illustration certainly matches the title. The dog actually hogs space to the detriment of its family. So I'm curious about your statement, “the family trained him to be kind by showing him love and affection”. Maybe they overdid it!

The dog Cooper is one of a kind. I remember when I was young we used to have dogs at home. I didn't feel like they considered themselves dogs either. I think animal cruelty can be the cause dogs and cats fear humans. Great book and a nice review. Congrats to the author.
