I'm not a big fan of Len Foley's children's books "humour," but with all the hype regarding it, it seems this book may be the one to turn me around. I'll check it out and see for myself. Thanks for sharing.

I am on the fence about toilet humor for children. This book sounds hilarious and I will read it, but encouraging children to focus on the loo may have disastrous consequences as any mom will know after the 5 millionth off-color sewer joke spouted from her dear, giggling little ones who then resist all attempts to have their minds distracted to higher pursuits. I think it only fair to give a cautionary warning regarding this cautionary tale.

How he incorporates latrine humor into the story really made me split a gut. And the way the smart cartoon photos are layered over the genuine ones really struck the nail on the head!

Thank God my kids are old enough and no longer in need in children's book. I raised them on quality literature, classic fairy tales, adventures and magical creatures. So excuse me, but title like this one is something I would have been avoiding no matter the book content.

An illustrated book for children that tells about the adventures of a frog who decides to avoid the sun when entering a house and take a dip in the toilet. It is a story that illustrates what can happen when a multitude of danger signs are ignored. Recommended for children and also for adults.

This does sound like a darling children's book. I love the way you pointed out the little aspects, like the shoe's tongue hanging out. I read this one very quickly on Amazon but should really give it another read to appreciate the humor. Thanks for an excellent review!

Another one for my grandson's bookshelf! I love Len Foley's work. He just has a way of knowing exactly what will get kids giggling. Wonderful review, thanks!

I like books for children as they are a very good example of how to teach children lessons in a quick and funny way. This one in particular teaches us not to rush into anything without thinking about it at least for some time and also to pay attention to all the signs that give us warning. Congratulations on becoming BOTD! And thanks for making it free!

This book sounds absolutely adorable. LOL! I like that this story also seems to have a nice little cautionary lesson wrapped up inside. The frog has so many warnings that he ignores, and then almost suffers the consequences. This book sounds fun and I think that it will be a lot of fun for myself and my daughter to read. Thank you for the fun and engaging review.

Based on this review and everyone’s responses I will have to check out Len Foley. Seems like the perfect children’s book to add to my collection. Everyone can get on board with a little toilet humor!

I like the sound of the cartoons drawn over photographs - that’s something I like to do! Also the weird characters you describe (the peanut lifeguard, the cleaning dog, and the shoe with a droopy tongue) sound like great fun.
