And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you acheive it.
I liked this to, it was also very comforting.

The treasure is only the trigger of the journey but the lessons you really gain are from the experiences of your journey to finding the treasure. It felt hilarious that the treasure was actually at the starting point of his adventures all along. When reading through the first dozens of pages, I thought that the treasure is located in a faraway land but it turns out the opposite. I guess, it's still meaningful that he did not know the treasure was near because it allowed him to go on adventures of self-discovery and life exploration, which made this book truly captivating.
YES! This I think was the most important thing, and he grew so much from this. Reminds me of the Secret Life of Walter Mitty  .

My favorite quotes from The Alchemist:
“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
“So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you.”

As cliche as it is it was this one:
“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
It just gives me so much hope.
I love this one too:
"Waiting is painful. Forgetting is painful. But not knowing which to do is the worst kind of suffering."

The most obvious quote that everyone must have liked and I'm no exception to that. "The whole universe conspires to bring closer to what you really want in/from life"

Well the "never give" up it is a good one. But in the long term work you also can say "be patient" or "work hard to achive what you whant" are also there. This is from the main character.

From the side characters we can learn also. The businessman show us that change its good. the englishman that trust and action are virtues. From the alchemist that te evil did not come from what the man consumes but of what it do whit is person. And finally from fatima that perseverance an love will bear fruits.

'When we love, we always strive to become better than we are'... this quote has served to make me better in life first when I me my husband, when I started my job and as soon as my kids starting coming forth. I got to be challenged to be better than who i was. I needed to give the best of me because I had immense love for them

I'd say the lesson I took from The Alchemist was that your treasure dwells where your heart is.
Whatever it is you are genuinely passionate about becomes less of a burden when your heart is in tune with it.

"Your desire originates in the soul of the Universe." It's not exactly super profound, but how comforting is it to know that the Universe got your back? Extremely, right?
