I like how Karina uses her powers to protect herself from heartache and her unimaginable journey stemming from the bullying she earlier received at school. Thanks for the nice review.

This book sounds so exhilarating! I love all of Karina's powers even though I don't believe in reincarnation. I'll just let that aspect slide. The story seems to have a blend of Harry Potter's scar and the closet in The Chronicles of Narnia. I'm also sorry for your loss and can see how it contributed to the emotional read for you. I can only comfort you in my own belief and hope in the resurrection. Thanks for the review.

For Karina Morgan, school is a chore because she gets bullied. Her life changes when she stumbles upon a cave with unusual inhabitants. She then unlocks mysterious powers which surprisingly, her grandmother also possesses.

This sounds like a really interesting book. I like how the author takes the often used "finding a portal to a new world" trope and puts a different spin on it. The book's underlying message of considering people's motivations for what they do really resonates with me. Thank you for your review!

This sounds like an interesting supernatural adventure story. I don't believe in reincarnation though, but I'm open to seeing what this book will be like for me.

This sounds like it is interesting. I like weird , supernatural movies, like "Narnia", and "road to teribithia" , may I will try reading one. I wouldn't mind having Karinas insight, being able to see people's true nature would be awesome. I may give this one a try. Congratulations on BOTD.

I just finished reading Karina and really enjoyed it. The author used fantasy to emphasize the importance of learning from our emotions and to illustrate how a positive perspective can change your whole life. Well done!
