What is the subject matter of this review?. Seems am in the dark. The reviewer did not summarize the story. Though I perceive this to be a good story. Thanks ED.

I read the sample and review of Growing up Carrie by Ed Massey. The emotions portrayed in the book seems genuine and comes naturally between Edward and Tammy. I am definitely get the full version to read the entire book.

Every now and then, a book comes along that reaches out and touches the soul. This sounds like one of those books! With its ability to generate a range of emotions, I don't think we will be forgetting these wonderfully developed characters for quite some time! Thank you so much for your review of today's BOTD...your enthusiasm about the story, the characters, and writing has convinced me this is a must read! :-)

Great review. Your critique was thorough, and I feel I know what to expect as far as the emotional story, but you only gave up enough of it to make me want to read it myself.

I enjoyed reading the sample so I can understand how the reviewer was unable to put the book down until finished. It does sound like a wonderful coming of age story.

This really seems like a well-crafted book. It may not be the type of book that I tend to read, but as far as feel-good books it seems well done.

There are so few books where the characters are written in a compelling way. It’s heartening to hear about one where they are. Thank you for a great review!

Life lessons can be captured from reading this book. Maybe me and my daughter can read the book together and discuss the life lessons together.

I read the free sample that is available for today, January 26th, 2018. I would rate this preview a 3 out of 4 stars. The plot was definitely interesting, a gamer named Edward gets a mysterious message and... You'll have to read to find out! The idea itself had a lot of potential, however, the writing seemed a little sloppy to me. The characters seemed underdeveloped (from what I read) and I would definitely recommend the author work on how tone and word choice effects character consistency. Also, the dialogue seemed forced and I could not imagine another person talking in that way. That being said, the story does seem emotional, captivating, and overall worth a read in my opinion, if you can get past a few writing no-nos.

Growing Up Carrie By Ed Massey. This is my first book for this author. I read the description of the book and could relate on so many levels. I have been a single parent and one of my children met their spouse through online gaming as well.

It’s not always easy growing up with a step parent. I was lucky as where my children. I am looking forward to reading this book and seeing how the author puts the story together!
