Not only genre and storyline are way out of my alley, I also refuse to have anything to do with anything related to russians even in the slightest as a social protest. No offence meaning to reach BOTD is quite the achievement no matter my misgivings. Congratulations!

Wow! The review sounds inviting. The tale of young Adam. Still haven't made up my mind whether I'll read it.

I can tell by your review that the author has an amazing writing style and knows how to keep the reader drawn in. However, I don't think this book is one I would enjoy. Great job on your review.

Russian ancestry, supernatural abilities, mutated humans, and some romance?! Sounds like a thrilling page-turner indeed, thanks for the review!

I am not much into the super hero genre, but the characters seem intriguing and the book seems to be well-written. Thanks for your review.

I'm not really into superhero/mutant stories myself, but it does sound like this would be a great read for those who enjoy this genre. Great review!

The disturbance and disconnects in Adam's mind are apparent from the very first paragraph. It took me a few minutes to figure out why the language was so...odd, but then I got it. I think Carly must be an astonishing person to have pulled him out of that!! The plot is interesting. I'm not sure if I'll read it because, frankly, I found the language used to be very difficult to engage with. We'll have to wait and see on this one.

Sounds like a great book! I like fantasy books that also deal with very realistic issues like love and work and school stress. I much prefer when I can relate to a book!

This seems like a great story. The way the character was described was also relatable. Nice review.

This fantasy sci-fi novel seems to have a dystopian but modern feel to it. Definitely going to be adding it to my reading list.

This is the third review I've read for this particular book and it certainly seems to have some unusual plot points. However, that seems to only highlight more your ability to write a synopsis in an understandable yet enticing way. And I'd like to compliment you on this specific and rare talent publicly. I actually bought Opaque a while ago when I read a different review for it and heard it might be the OBC Book of the Month for February. But it's been sitting on my To-Read shelf ever since. After reading your review I am wondering what my hold up is. Time to read this unique and interesting story. Thanks for the friendly nudge and hoping to read many more reviews and recommendations from you and be "nudged" again and again.

Sincerely, Laura-Lee
And they sang a new song saying,
"You are worthy to take the book,
and to open its to seals,
for You were slain and have redeemed us to God,
by your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and Nation." Rev. 5:9

This sounds like a wonderful fantasy book about mutated humans. I love how it incorporates romance and suspense. Congrats on the book of the day. Great review.

I have a love/hate relationship with science fiction, there is no in-between. The plot of the book seems solid and I hope I love it when I get around to reading it.

This sounds like a good sci-fi fantasy YA novel, but the style of the writing in the sample didn’t appeal to me — continuous present tense, somewhat overly dramatic. But I can see how some folks would like it.
