I have two younger sisters. For the one, I would most definitely volunteer. For the other, I may need a second to think about. For my daughter - in a heartbeat - no question!!!

I volunteer as tribute!! I would volunteer to save someone I loved, but, realistically, I would probably be a Capital citizen and not have to volunteer. lol

If Prim was my sister, I don't think I could just stand back and let her be killed. It's hard to know if I'd volunteer for anyone else, though, since I've never lived in that time so I just don't know how I would handle it if someone I knew was picked. Wow, that's a hard one.

If Katniss hadn’t volunteered and Prim had been the one in the Hunger Games, I think she probably would have had the same fate as Rue.

I can't say that I would volunteer in place of my older siblings, but I definitely would for my younger ones. There is something about seeing young kids having to go through potentially traumatic or even just difficult situations that makes me want to protect them desperately. Of course, you never know until you've been tried, but I would like to think that I would volunteer for Prim.

Would volunteer in a heart beat. Even if it was an older sibling.

Mild spoilers here:

Yes, I would volunteer. But overall, it's a tricky situation. I would be devastated after she died. Would saving the world have been worth the pain of losing a sister? Maybe I would feel like I volunteered for nothing.

I would volunteer to replace her. I'm a very protective person by nature, and would rather put my own life at risk than to willingly watch someone I love go and possibly never return.

That is a very difficult question. I would like to think that I would volunteer, even if it wasn't my sister. But i also have to account for the human fight or flight instinct and maybe in the moment I'd run!

I think that it depends on who it was for, but I think that for Prim I probably would have stayed silent. However, if I was really Katniss, I think that I probably would have spoken up because her mother had shut down, her father had died, and Prim was all she had left. Besides Gale, she didn't have anyone else to keep on going for if she lost Prim, so it's totally understandable why she did it.

This is honestly such a hard question. i would like to think I am the kind of person who would volunteer and save Prim but on the other hand I think I would be very, very scared.

I think that she would have died either way. Prim wouldn't have been very likely to win the games so would have still died. So at least by volunteering Katlyn saved numerous people's sisters from dying in future hunger games

Not a doubt in my mind. My scene would have looked exactly like the one with Prim and Katniss. My bow skills are rusty, but my knife skills are sharp. I won't brag and say I would have won also, but I wouldn't have been the first to die.
