I'd rather Katniss. She feels a bit more, calculated yet mature in a way, that she can feel compassion for others without it totally blinded her. Although the berries thing was a bit out there, there was always a plan, and other ideas like that.

I have to pick Katniss; she's been supporting her family for years in an unfortunate situation. I always found her to be a truly inspirational heroine.

Tris tends to make split-second decisions, which often need fixing by anyone else.

I cannot compare these two protagonists. Divergent is one of my least-favourite books of all time, while Hunger Games makes it to the top 20.
I love Katniss not just because she is realistic and so is her situation and story, but because there is also a lot one can learn from her and her character development. I can say nothing similar for Tris. Admittedly, I haven't read the entire Divergent trilogy, but just book one was so unenjoyable (yes, that is a word) for me that I couldn't continue.

I can't choose one. I like that they were both strong characters, willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good of their worlds. I think there's good lessons to learn from them both.

This is a tough one . I love them both. I even cried when Tris died. And Katniss herself is an example of bravery. So both.

I did not like Tris at all. She felt unrealistically inhumane, whereas Katniss was more of a relatable character.

I completely agree! I have to go with Katniss as well. It also bothered me how Tris was reckless in an irresponsible way. I felt that Katniss was reckless but always because she truly cared and would rather put someone else's life above her own, whereas Tris just didn't value her life.

I prefer Katniss!! She's more responsible with her actions and realizes her mistakes while tris doesn't! I still love her tho.

I love Katniss Everdeen but the divergent as a whole series is one of my favorite.

I think when I read the book, I related more to Tris but the older I get I feel like maybe I'm more relatable to Katniss now.

I'd go with Katniss. I feel like she had more relatable traits than Tris overall, plus her character evoked more feelings of sympathy than Tris for me.

I prefer Katniss over Tris! For me, Katniss was easier to connect with and I understood her actions better. She wasn't as reckless and impulsive as Tris which bugged me sometimes, particularly when others who had to help her fix what she did. Katniss always kept her loved ones' safety in mind and I really resonate with that. So yeah, it's Katniss for me.

I prefer Katniss Everdeen. She took care of her family at a very young age and faced many hardships. She loved her sister unconditionally and the safety of her family was her first priority. Katniss is relatable to me while tris is not. Although they are both strong and brave women, I'd go with katniss.

I loved Tris Prior back in college. I finished ghe series because I loved her character, that she was such a badass. But thinking about it, Katniss was a badass too. But Katniss was strategic and wouldn’t risk anything, and Tris was way riskier. So, I guess Katniss.
