"Inspector Mage" by Aleese Hughes. An interesting story book, has lot to do with action, suspense and a notorious serial killer. Inspector Russell Gaines on his own side gave up the title after failing to bring down New Age God. Julie Melton now has taken over from Russell Gaines as the new inspector. Congrats on your #BOTD.

Murder, mystery, magic? What a delicious trio for the perfect murder suspense novel. The main character, Russell, seems to be combating his own demons while he's under the pressure of trying to catch an elusive killer. This adds more dynamism to the novel, when the good guys have bad luck. The sample intrigued me enough that I would like to read the book. I have been reading more fantasy books lately and Inspector Mage sounds like a good mixture of fantasy and mystery. I am a bit disappointed that the reviewer mentioned how she figured out the murder mystery halfway through the book. I love twists and turns and the unexpected.
