This story is very heart-wrenching to read, and I'm not ready to feel strong negative emotions right now.
But opening up about past trauma can be therapeutic at times. ๐Ÿ˜Œ
Congratulations on your published review! :D
I'd definitely recommend against reading this one, then. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment!

The author's story is sadly a very unfortunate one. I'd advise reading if you're emotionally ready for it. Thank you for stopping by!

Thank you for an excellent review.

That's true, and I hope that those who haven't found the courage to share their stories yet are healing in their own way. Thank you for the comment!

I think that the contrast between a girl with a pure soul and the harsh reality of life is especially strong. Thanks for the great review.

While I commend victims of abuse for the courage to come out with their stories, I sometimes don't like how they make me feel. However, I sure this story would inspire the target audience. Thanks a lot for the amazing review.

It makes me angry and sad that parents don't take better care of their children and subject them to such abuse. I think this book would really bother me. Thanks for an amazing review!

It sounds like this book needs one to be mentally and emotionally ready. But if the sharing her story helped in her healing journey, it is worth reading and I hope other victims will be inspired and also find their voice and healing. Beautiful review!

I've noticed you tend to pick up quite emotionally packed books. I salute you for that. Personally, I know this wouldn't be something I would willingly pick up, but I wouldn't mind a conversation about it instead. Thank you for the great review as always :D

I'm glad you finished the book! It took me almost a month to finish reading because of how distressed I got over the events of the book at times. I'm glad you liked it.

Indeed, although Bridget acted like the people around her, she was very innocent and naive. Thank you for the comment!

I definitely get you. I love reading about other people's experiences, but the things the author went through really haunted me. Thank you for leaving a comment!

Definitely! I kept getting really sad and disappointed when I remember that Bridget had no "knight in shining armor" to rescue her from her situation. It's definitely heartbreaking. Thank you for the compliment and comment!
