An incredibly detailed review, considering one of the main points both pro and con being how the details drag you into the whole experience. Having been camping in the past it doesn't take much to remember those cherished memories. This review makes Welcome to Shadow Creek interesting while it wouldn't be something I would normally pick up.

Thank you for all the work you put into the review.

Like yourself I found the detailed discriptions stunning though they can carry on a tad to long.

I think I would agree with you that it captures your exact feelings as a camper, places them in a story form and then feeds them back to you. I would never have imagened such a thing was possible, and if I would have I am not sure I would have voted for it.

Sounds like a heartwarming read, but when I saw the title I actually thought the opposite. Thank you!

This sounds like a book that wuld be enjoyed by readers in the young adult genre who enjoy camping trips and adventures. It's too bad it had a lot of errors, but it's nice that you enjoyed the book in spite of that. Thanks for the great review!

The book looks adventurous from the first few sample pages I've read. I agree with the reviewer about the poetic description of the scenery. Don Williams has also developed his characters so well that they are relatable. I would love to read the entire book about the fishing and camping trip.

A story about a kid who bonds with his father on a camping trip sounds like a great read. I also like that he gains some confidence. Great review.

A 15-year-old boy who has difficulty speaking who goes camping with his family and friends over a weekend sounds inviting. A book that has the capability to boost confidence and grow comfortable with self is another positive aspect. I also like that you feel like you're camping without stepping outside. Great review!

Thank you for sharing your review with us. I too felt some nostalgia whilst reading about the camping trip. Oh to be young again... I loved the authors poetic descriptions of almost everything and I will definitely be adding this book to my reading list.

I like camping and it seems that the author was successful in describing everything down to its last details based on your review. Only a few can do that when talking about nature trails and I think the author has experience in it since he writes well. It sounds like he has also well-written characters. Pity about the errors though. Thanks for the review!

I'm not a part of its target audience, but all the descriptions that you mention about truly making you feel that you're on camping sound intense and intriguing. I will keep it in mind for recommendations. Wonderful review! Thank you!

A fishing expedition looks like an excellent pretext for a coming-of-age story. Since the author won me over with his excellent descriptive skills, I'd like to read more about Lib's transformation and adventures. Thanks for a great review!
