Tomah wrote: 09 Aug 2019, 15:05 The protagonist kind of reminds me of My Little Pony's Pinkie Pie: an eccentric girl with some odd, inexplicable premonitions. I have a soft spot for good light-hearted fantasy stories, so this could be something worth checking out. Thanks for the review!
If you like light-hearted fantasies, this would definitely be for you. I loved Iris; she was a great role model. Thanks.

What a shame about the editing errors. It sounds like Iris has OCD? I like the overall message of the book though, it's a great message to send to kids :)

It's never stated that she does, but she does have those behaviors. Either way, I love that she imperfect. Thanks!

I like the sound of this book and might keep it in mind for my daughter in a couple of years. However, it really irritates me when children's books are not well edited. It's confusing enough to learn grammar rules in elementary school without having the books you're reading giving you bad examples. Thanks for a thorough review!

I definitely agree about the grammar. I do feel, though, that by the time they are the age to read this, they should know better. Still, it's best to set a good example. Thanks!

It is definitely a pity about the errors present – still, this seems like a great read for young children, especially with the fact that the characters are real and flawed (I think that they would learn more). Thanks for the review!

I agree about the characters; I love that the protagonist is relatable. It makes kids think they can make a change too. Thanks for your comment.

I like how Iris teaches other kids that it is okay to be different. I will have to read this book in order to understand the mystery behind the boy's disappearance. Thanks for the review.
