Your description of this book makes me think of one of my childhood favorites, Number the Stars. I loved that book. It makes me want to check this one out. Thanks for the great review!

I've heard of that book, but I don't think I've read it. If I have I don't remember. This one would be great in a school setting in my opinion. Thanks!

What is it about WWII books? Even though they wreck me emotionally every time, I just can't resist them. This one sounds like a really amazing book that has a slightly different focus from the million others I've already read. Great review!

Sounds like it would be a great book for a middle school or freshman history class. It would help give some of the broader picture of WWII in a format that kids could relate to.

This one focuses more on the positive than the negative. There are still some sad moments, but overall I really enjoyed it. Thanks!

Yes. It would be great for 7th or perhaps 8th grade classes. It's enjoyable and still educational. Thanks!

I definitely wasn't aware that it happened as frequently as it did. It's thought-provoking to say the least. Thanks!
