Next Writing Contest

Post by Scott »

I loved all the excitement around are previous short story contests, especially the latest one in which the winners were published in the book Holding Fire.

I would love to have a new writing contest. I want to let the members of OnlineBookClub.org choose the details of this writing contest.

Use the poll in this topic to cast your vote. :D

  • Options
Poetry writing contest ~ top 10 poems published in a book
Short story contest ~ new theme, top 10 stories published in a book
Novella contest ~ winning novella published by OnlineBookClub.org
You don't vote by replying to this topic. You vote using the poll. You have to be logged in to use the poll.

I'm still a newbie on Online Book Club. I love writing! I have tried writing novels, short stories, poems and even a song or two. It was fun! Given the chance, I'd love to join in contests like this.

That's exciting! I hope the competition is announced soon, and that I can enter. Short stories, in my opinion. -Zaynab

I have to say I am surprised that the Poetry genre won in the poll. Although many people like to write poetry, I'm not sure there is a wide audience for poetry books. Just my opinion.

I personally enjoy writing short stories, however as a reader I would be interested in seeing the novelette submissions.

I came too late to vote.

My bad.

Poetry was winning though as I had hoped.
