Seems to be a nice and interesting story of a girl named Lily who struggle for her own identity to be accepted and succeeded in her efforts. Congrats on BOTED.

Nothing is more satisfying than the historical romance and highness of the characters. I appreciate for the review. As it encourages me to read it. Cliffhanger wouldn't be trouble if sequel is promised :techie-reference: . Much appreciated work!

Emotional and romantic, this historical fiction book looks to touch the heart of the reader. I’m looking to broaden my genre choices and this lookS like it will be an interesting yet serious book to start with. Congrats on the BOTD

Historical romance sounds great. I just find it hard to believe that Lily was sold in an auction. And maybe this book is really not for me because of the grown-up scenes. Thanks for your wonderful review.

Thank you for your detailed review. I have started reading this book, and I was also horrified when Lily was ripped from her mother's arms and auctioned by her father. The story seems interesting so far and I look forward to finding out what will eventually happen between her and James.

Thanks for the awesome review. I could feel the strong emotions in this story by just reading the review. I hope that Lily finds love and happiness, most importantly that she unites with her mother.

This seems like an interesting book. I'm looking forward to reading this. I love romantic historical fiction. I also want to see whether the whole switching accents thing will be distracting. Congratulations on making book of the day!

After checking out this book. I can provide my point of view below: We must eradicate roots of slavery in our minds and we have to consider one an other equally and we need to give out to develop altogether. We can cultivate slavery in our minds in order to develop our communities or society where we are currently live in. Thank you for the review!!

This book was thrilling, touching, and exceptional. Lily's character really made me root for her because of the amazing developments that she undergone. The love that she had for her owner's son was very cathartic to read and it filled me with joy when she finally dicovered her stellar piano playing talents. This novel is highly recommended for those who love steamy and well-written historical fictions! Congrats on botd!

Lily's life seems to have a mixture of everything in her life. The review mentioned the historical fiction book contained a constant amount of switching accents. I am not a fan of historical fiction and the switching of accents. I would have to skip this book. Thanks for the genuine review. Congrats on BOTD!

Lily's story seem to be an interesting one. I'd love to read about the alterations the threat of punishment by her master's son brought to her life. Great review.

Getting a help from the master's son in that slavery situation is definitely something that would change the life of Lily and it would be interesting to go through the book to have the feel of the complete story. Let me have it in my want to read shelf for reading it at a later time.

Wow.. Lily went through a lot and her father selling her to Jesse Adam's family really made it a bit off the cuff as she met a new master whom she barely knew about. The fascinating part there is when she met with Auntie, who was obviously old, she had worked with for generations of Adam's family . The Prodigy slave is indeed an interesting book!
