I like Georgette Heyer, Amanda Quick, Julia Quinn, Melissa Nathan and a host of many others. I especially like writers with witty repartee and not cheesy language. I dislike novels where they're always going on about how much they love each other or how deep or true their love is, authors like that make me want to barf.

Mine is definitely Christine Feehan and P. J. Fox. They both enthral you in a way that is extraordinary, yet they are very different P. J. Fox has a dark style to her fiction, while Christine Feehan has a smooth sailing type of story. It's hard to decide, really.

Oh yes, I forgot Amanda Quick. Read PJ Fox's Books. You'll love them. The characters have such depth and danger and there is just so much mystery, it's breathtaking. The style is almost similar to Amanda Quick, but hers is so much more raw and real. I highly recommend you try her.

This will definitely sound cheesy, but definitely Nicholas Sparks. His books make me cry, and there is so much emotion and wonderful backstories involved in all of these books.

I do like J R Ward, but Nora Roberts is also awesome – especially Roberts's Irish Trilogy. The latter has a way of bringing you into her world, and her characters are very relatable.

Eloisa James all the way! I'm in the middle of the Duchess series right now and she infuses her tales with humor. I also LOVE her fairy tale retellings. They are quite easy to read, even though she is a Shakespearean scholar.

I also enjoy the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward. It is paranormal romance and has male protagonists, which is refreshing considering most romance is the story of a female searching for/falling in love.
As for you & your heart & the things you said & didn't say, she will remember them all when men are fairy tales in books written by rabbits. (Schmendrick the Magician)
