For a simple romance novel some of Sarah Dessen's books are quite captivating. My favorites are The Truth About Forever and the Just Listen. Also favorites: Easy by Tammara Webber and Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry.

Young Adult by definition is below 18, and therefore not college age. Those are now known as New Adult and there are so many good authors to read!! My favorites right now are Cassie Mae, Brinda Berry, Kristen Callihan, Elle Kennedy, Sarina Bowen, & Riley Edgewood.

I prefer my NA to be sports romances, but not all of these authors have that either. What are you reading right now? I just finished THE GOAL by Elle Kennedy and it was awesome. Her Off-Campus series is Ah-mazing!!

A book that you should read is After by Anna Todd. I honestly could not put it down. To warn you there is some sexual scenes.

So true. This is my problem with many books from this genre and why I don't read them.

Me Before You was one of the best romance books I've read in a while. It definitely wasn't aimed at teenagers, with the target audience being young women in their twenties.

To be fair, a young adult category usually has characters in high school, ages 16 to 18, and they would not have any porn like scenes. What you are referring to is New Adult category - 18+ and going off to college/university.

The Clockwork series and the mortal instrument series by Cassandra Claire are great books, 9 in total, for teens. the sex scenes are not explicit and only occurs once on each series. The books are action packed and has romance developing at a normal pace.

Sydney Landon's Pierced is one of the best piece I have come across. Lucian meets Lia when she's still in college.
It contains violence, childabuse and sexual scenes.
Definitely not for under age😉.
Check it out. It's a nice piece

For me, I am 18 now and in search of romance novel that has more of a "kick" to them, describing an accurate account of Romance then works such as 'A Fault in Our Stars' which is a beautiful piece but not enough for me anymore.

That is why I highly recommend the 'After Series' granted it does get at times repetitive, but the story is consuming and does in a way portray an accurate account of the turmoils one finds in younger relationships. Not only that but it also has, well PG 13 scenes, including the experience of someone's first time. It is not a difficult read but it is definitely worth it, as someone who enjoys books that transport you to the world of the narrator this work does just this.

It is about a very innocent girl who starts college and falls for the English 'bad boy', which at first I was sceptical that it was going to be a cliche but it surprised me with the constant plot twists, the violence, lust, passion, and sex scences, as well I mean the cliff hangers will have you lost for words.

Cassandra Clare's books have always captured my attention. I haven't started this series though. They sound like a fine read.
