While I’ve been particular about romances lately, but this one seems to have enough elements to it to keep me engaged. The combination of a love triangle and a serial killer is especially intriguing. Of course, I can’t turn a story about a literary agent or someone else in the writing/publishing industry, either. Thank you for the helpful review.

From sensual and steamy to a bona fide "it's complicated..." it sounds like Zia was in for a wild ride! Thanks for your review.

I love dark mysteries. But I am not particularly fond of romance tales, especially love triangles. I would just skip this book.

I do so love reading about love triangles although I think it's ironic that a woman who's sworn off love could so easily fall for, not one, but two attractive men almost at the same time without much wooing on their part. Anyway, I'd like to see how Zia comes out of the web of lies she'd spun around herself. Thanks for the review.

The people saying they don't like love triangles, I kind of do. I mean, it creates interesting drama when someone has to make a difficult choice between two potential partners that both seem equally attractive or appealing. The reason I think a lot of people don't like them is because they're often put into the romantic subplot of a book in another genre, that doesn't really need a romantic subplot at all, let alone a love triangle. And in many, the choice of which guy/girl is better is obvious to the audience. That makes the drama about the love triangle boring. I am reading this book right now though, and I have to say, it is a more interesting take on the love triangle trope. I don't even normally like romance novels and I'm enjoying this one.
