Well-developed characters give such depth and texture to the story. You didn't have any strong objections to the story - so, it looks like a good read. Thanks for the recommendation!
I really enjoyed getting to know the characters in this story. Thanks so much for stopping by, kdstrack, and commenting! :)

Good point about first impressions. I loved the added suspense as well. Thank you so much for your comments! :)

Another fantastic review! This sounds like a pleasure to read, and I'm glad it seems a bit deeper than your stereotypical romance novel.

I'm not a fan of romance, so I think I'll pass on this one. Great review, though!

I loved how the author had Diana and Paul meet. She demonstrated to readers that you cannot always rely on first impressions. Thinking the absolute worst of Diana, Paul gets to see layers of her very caring heart slowly unveiled. Loughlin went to great lengths to portray Diana’s extraordinary kindness and compassion on numerous occasions.
This book sounds like it has strong characterisation! The plot sounds both suspenseful and entertaining. It sounds like a great story! Thanks for this thorough and well-written review, Bluebird03!

This sounds like a really sweet story. It's amazing how first impressions can affect how we interact with other people. I try not to assume the worst about people, but sometimes situations and actions can make that difficult. The way these two characters meet and jump to conclusions sounds amusing and I'm glad they eventually figure out the truth! I'll have to add this book to my list. Thanks for the well-written review!

Diana and Paul find themselves as work associates on a confidential and political bombshell of a case
This makes me wonder what kind of work they did and how it managed to bring them together so quickly. I love books with well developed, relatable characters. It's the mark of a good author who can do that. Not all of them manage to pull it off. Thanks for the great review!
