Danielle Steel, yay or nay?

Post by jamibozz »

Hello!

So I have been in a romance funk lately and am running out of authors with endless series and books. I hate waiting for new novels to come out, so I typically choose an author that is well-established.

I was wondering if Danielle Steel is worth the investment. Any suggestions on which to start with??

Thanks!!

I read so many of hers when I was young and adored them. Then for a while, it seemed they were all written to a formula, leaving no question of exactly what would happen when. But just last year, I read another, one called Blue, and found I still like her books. The woman is 72 and still publishing! I'm impressed. Apparently 72 isn't too old to "keep on keeping on"!

I like Danielle Steel. The plots are worth following. The only problems are constant repetition and characters who are usually indecisive, insipid and mostly unlikable.

She is 72? I didn't know maybe cause I have always seen the same picture on the cover where she is still young

Oh yes! Can never go wrong with her❤️She is one of the best. I remember how we used to have some English lessons dedicated for reading novels only back in high school and more than half of the class read Danielle Steel's novels.

Thank you for creating this post. I have not read any Danielle Steel books too and based on everyone's replies, she's one author to not miss.
