I'm not saying she's amazing or that you'll definitely enjoy her novels, but I would recommend reading some of her books if you like psychological thrillers.

Non-fiction favorite is an oldie but goodie... J.R Miller.
A Christian author who shares Biblical encouragement for the believer's daily walk with Christ.
More old favorites are Andrew Murray, Charles Spurgeon, and Mrs. C. E Cowman.

Same, I was just about to post LM Montgomery when I saw your reply. I also loved her book 'The Blue Castle', it's more geared towards adults, but a lovely read and a very likeable protagonist.quietsoul+2019 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2019, 15:16 Favorite fiction author would be Lucy Maud Montgomery. I love her Anne series...she has a pleasant way of pulling a reader into her characters' worlds.
Other than that, I really love Jojo Moyes, as well.

I echo the bold partly RESOUNDINGLY. McCrae is a master. While I found it really hard to get into Pact, I absolutely LOVED Twig. I didn't think he'd be able to make anything even close to Worm, but I ended up falling in love with Twig's characters so hardcore. Worm is still my favorite by him, though. It's honestly one of my favorite stories of all time, if not my most favorite, though I still have to read Ward.Shalomsamuels1 wrote: ↑15 Sep 2018, 19:49 Brandon Sanderson would have to be one of my favorites. He is consistently great and I don't think he has reached his full potential yet. George R. R. Martin is also great but besides for A Song Of Ice and Fire his other writing isn't that impressive. J.K. Rowling has the same issue. She wouldn't be able to replicate anything even close to Harry Potter. (Case in point, Cursed Child *shudder*). John McCrae (a.k.a. 'Wildbow') is also one of my favorites as Worm is my favorite book. Honorable Mentions: Pat Rothfuss, Rick Riordan.
Taylor is one of the most strategical and resourceful protagonists I've read in my life. She was totally unique. I thought it was really gutsy that he decided to give his protagonist a "lame" power - it turned out to be the most versatile thing she could've had. Which is funny, considering how many times she talks about feeling envy over other people's powers.
There's also an audiobook, too.
