I'd have to say Jennifer Niven Is my favorite young adult novelist. Many authors write about teenage years, but she is the most relatable so far. She not only positions you on each scene, but she also seems to live it with you. That's just how passionate she is.
Also, she writes about non-usual topics. Jennifer has a gift on writing, she does her research and just does it amazingly.

I like his prowess in characterization. He lets the characters express their feelings on their own rather than a mere narration. This makes his writings natural and lively.
