Stephen King is my all time favorite author. I read his "On Writing" memoir twice, and I loved it so much. His ability to persevere through personal and professional struggles, as well as his ability to clearly and simply discuss the writing process is fascinating. My favorite book by King is "Bag of Bones" because the emotional impact is incredible, and I find it to have more depth than some of his more gore-based works.

Oh it is so hard to make such a choice, as I am avid reader of many genre and author's alike. I have read everything from the great works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, to the best trash anyone can find on the market. I have always loved mystery (guess that brought me to my career choice of Criminal Justice), as well suspense and even a little twist of the supernatural. I started very young and my favorite for years was Stephen King of course, but after some time his mind kind of went a little sideways and some of his works were not so worthy of the huge pedastool that I placed him on. I then turned to Dean R. Koontz who like Stephen King in many ways, seemed to have a fresher style of pulling the reader right in and keeping them on the edge of the seats, so much so that you could not put the book down (ever). Many a night was sought the comfort of my latest good read and many a morning I suffered the long agonizing work day as tired as could be, because I would read the entire book and not get any sleep. Later on I pushed through into some of the supernatural settings and have determined some of the more commonly known authors are in fact some very suspenseful and quite successful in making their world in a book that was a page turner without remorse. The only regret is that I did not marry a very wealthy man, as my habit is costing me a fortune and very difficult to continue.

But then again specialise is to limit...I have read so many great works from different authors;
*Paulho coelho
*Sidney sheldon
*EL James
Each of them has a special way of delivery that makes reading a book obsessive

Stephen King, the most intelligent Arthur I have encountered. I find him precise with an awesome descriptive sense! His books are turn pagers with the ability to literally scare you with words you read to yourself.

I haven't read that one but he is an awesome Arthur as well! Perfect for horror lovers. Please remember to use italic when quoting the names of books. That would be Along came a Spider.

Currently my favorite author is Kristin Hannah. Which is funny because I don't like her old stuff but I loved The Nightingale and The Great Alone. I thought both were great and those were her most recent ones that I'm sure they will only get better from there.
