I have read many of his books as he really explored how colonialism affected Africa. Perhaps my favorite and most heart wrenching book of his would be Things Fall Apart.

Everyone who's anyone knows Chinua Achebe, he's an amazing writer and I've read Things Fall Apart. Granted it was for uni but I enjoyed it all the same. It was one of the best pieces I've ever read.

I have read most of his books. He is exceptional. He is basically the father of Africa literature. Though gone, his spirit is alive in his writings...

Things Fall Apart was the first book we read in my AP English class in high school. We spent the entire year comparing every book we read after back to it.

I am Nigerian and I have read some of his books including the popular 'Things Fall Apart'. Others I have read include: a man of the people, no longer at ease, arrow of god and another I can't recall.

He is an amazing writer. It's a pity he is dead.

I do. He wrote things fall apart and that book made me aware of how the natives must have felt when they were forced to accept the colonial masters.

I've read Things Fall Apart. It was actually a required text in English Literature in high school. As a matter of fact, I still think it's in the curriculum. I enjoyed it immensely, it was one of the few required novels my year group enjoyed reading. The characters were captivating, and learning about the different tribal practices was an added bonus. If not for the part that we had to analyze the novel to death, I would have loved it even more.

I do not know Chinua Achebe, but I do know Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche from learning about her in school and she is a Nigerian writer.
