All of Roald Dahl’s books are amazing, but I’d have to say my all time fave is definitely Matilda.

I love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach.

My all-time favorites are his short stories, but they are more for adults, not children. Lamb to the Slaughter, The Landlady, and Man From the South are all great!

There are so many good ones; it's hard to choose a favorite. But I think I would have to choose Matilda. I related to her so much as a kid; I felt like the smart kid that nobody understood. Maybe that's pretentious of me. But who wouldn't love the story of a smart, picked on kid learning she has magical powers?

Roald Dahl was one of the first authors I read when I was a child, and my favourite book written by him is the BFG.

George's Marvelous Medicine was a trip down insane lane and I enjoyed every moment of it.

My favorite is probably The BFG not only because I like the story but because I have fond memories of reading it together as a family. Matilda is a close second.

I loved the Roald Dahl books growing up! My faves are The Witches, Matilda and The Twits. His story ideas and the way he tells his tall tales are so unique and captivating. Hope young people nowadays are still reading his work.

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is my absolute favorite Ronald Dahl book. I read many of these to my youngest daughter, due to her lack of reading skills and although, I enjoyed most of what I read this was my favorite. The story is a fun read and brings many interesting characters to life and gives the student many things to discuss while reading.

ThankfulMom1 wrote: 30 Mar 2016, 09:50 Our family loves Roald Dahl! We bought a set of Roald Dahl books for the girls earlier this year - and have enjoyed all of the stories. The BFG is currently in our nightly rotation, as well as the Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Twits, James and the Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The girls really loved Matilda too.

Dahl's imagination and writing makes reading the books aloud fun for the whole family.
Both of my girls loved Matilda and James and The Giant Peach.
