It's a difficult question. First, I do not like beer. I prefer fruit juice or wine. Secondly, I am too shy to communicate freely with such literary stars. Thirdly, Ursula Le Guin, Terry Pratchett and Tanith Lee are all dead. Drinking beer with dead writers is a good idea for a horror movie. However, I do not want to be a character in a horror movie.
So my choice is Kate Elliot, Andrew Shvarts or Ted Williams.

Dan Brown, he loves teaching and writing, so do I. I have a feeling a lifelong friendship would begin.

None. Having interviewed, worked with and known my share of writers, actors and singers, I have found it best to keep most of them at arms length and to separate what people do from who they are - the sort of person they are very often is quite different from what they do...

I would love to go to lunch with Tolkien just to get a clearer picture into his process in writing The Lord of the Rings.

That sounds interesting - could you say a bit more? (without naming names obviously! :) )

I'd really like to have a talk with Jorge Luis Borges, although I'm not sure I'd be smart enough to keep up with him. His writing reveals an incredibly thoughtful man, and I'd like the chance to get inside his head and learn to think like him.

You don't have to be smart enough, he will appreciate your stuff. Only if you sound honest, I guess.

Sadly he’s no longer here, and although I can think of other authors who would likely better me as a writer; for fun though, DR. H. S. T.

The author with whom I would like to have a beer with is J.K.Rowling. Harry Potter series were so amazing that even after all these years, a Harry Potter fan would still wait for a letter from Hogwarts :)
