Austin Clarke.

Used to have to walk by his house, after ditching the car down the street, to get to work.

Would shoot the breeze a bit, as regularly passing strangers, when I would catch him coming/going and mucking about out front.

Was gearing up to suggest a pint session a mere block down the street and then didn't see him for a stretch...

Then, of course, got the news that he'd transitioned to the great unknown.

For me, it would be George R.R. Martin. I think he'd be hilarious.

And, I'd love to discuss writing with him. I bet I could learn a lot about world building from him.

Stephen King is a very interesting writer to make you wonder about his great thoughts.

Definitely Stephen King. Reading his books, you really know that he has "been through" some of the things he writes about. He is an amazing man and I would love to talk to him in person!

Agatha Christie! She sounds like a super fun lady, based on her autobiography. AND, she's lived through both the wars and has done archeological work in the Middle East...apart from being such a profilic writer!

Mark Twain, I think his wry sense of humor would be fun while drinking!

As a writer and lover of Nora Roberts, I would love to sit down with her and discuss characterization. I love how she is able to build likable and whole characters. I feel like I know them on a deep level and want to be friends with each of them or lovers...She's just great at what she does and I would love to pick her brain about it. :D

I am not a fan of horror books, but I would like to have beer with Stephen King. IDK, but I think he's an interesting person.
