I wanted to take the writing class with James Patterson. I'm upset that I didn't have the money to do it.

Well... I should say I wished I could've taken it when he first started it and had a contest during it.

"Under a government which imprisons unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison"I would have to say I'd love to sit down and take a creative writing workshop with Christine Feehan, Laurel K Hamilton, and Anne Rice.

I would take a writing class from Dr.Seuss if he were still alive. A living author I would want as my teacher is either Meg Cabot or Shonda Rhimes.

Jane Austin, I would have loved to see what was going on in her mind when she wrote her books. Especially considering the time that she lived in, I would have been interested in knowing what if felt like to be a woman author during her time, despite the fact that she kept the books anonymous for a little while.

I actually never wondered, because every author has to offer something. The choice is just too hard, but few months ago I ended up in Zoran Zivkovic`s classroom and it was absolutely great!
My highschool classmate was also an interesting writer, very colorful, poethic and innovative. I always loved her style, so I`ll probably choose Sasha (even though she is not a ``real`` writer).

I would have to say Neil Gaiman. I love his stories and I think he has a really engaging writing style. I'd love to learn from him. I had the pleasure of attending one of his talks and he's really well-spoken, too. I think he'd be a great teacher.

I would want Dick Francis to teach me some. Being a former champion jockey, he naturally has horses and racing in all of his books. I never thought there could be so many ways crime and cheating can happen with horses! Each book also has a hero with a different career (pilot, banker, movie actor, detective, glassblower, to name a few) whom the reader can relate to. Hey, the writer didn't get 4 Edgars for best novel for just horsing around, pun intended.

Charles Dickens and JRR Tolkien are my top two so far. There are so many but these two are such master storytellers. I envy those who did live in that time period and would have been able to take a class.

I agree, Stephen King. Maybe he could teach me how to make millions of dollars writing.
