I choose J. R. R. Tolkien. His way of writing an amazing plot with incredible characters AND such symbolism and beauty would make him my first choice. If I could EVER write like him I would be VERY happy.

Nancy Lee, she has a great yet so simple style of writing, I loved it and would really love to learn something from her.

Mine would be Brian Tracy. His book No Excuses keeps serving as a guiding lamp even after several years.

Another author I love so much is Kenneth Having. He writes on spirituality. His books are total changers to all who read them.

Can anyone here help me to understand the way some authors are able to publish frequently. Do they write all the time or what?

Stephen King for sure! I keep hoping Master Class will sign him on to teach. Maybe they could get him to do it with his sons. It would be great to see the three of them sitting around talking about the similarities and differences in their writing styles and processes. King's book, On Writing, is great and I have read it several times.
We’re gonna need a bigger bookshelf.

J.K. Rowling would be the author that I would take a writing class with. The way she created a magical world for children and adults to enjoy is outstanding. I would want to hear tips and tricks on how to world build from her.

I would take a writing class from Maggie Stiefvater. She actually holds them frequently and my goal is to somehow manage to attend one.

I would pick either Kurt Vonnegut because he has such a broad range of stories although they all have the same feel or Leo Tolstoy because I admire a guy who can write a massive work like War and Peace which contains 500 characters (according to Trivial Pursuit, Genus Edition) and keep them all straight. If you think about it, that might be genius.
